All-Electric Home
We can build you an all-electric home with a rooftop solar system and home battery that will produce and manage your power. The larger the solar system and battery, the more likely you are to run your home 100% off the energy grid. We also advise choosing electric appliances over gas. Not only will they improve the air quality in your home (gas produces harmful contaminants like carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and formaldehyde) but when paired with solar, can produce zero emissions.
Home battery
A home battery is integral to an energy efficient home. It works with your rooftop solar panels to manage and store the energy that they create. We partner with industry leaders to bring you the best home battery solutions available.
Colorbond Roofing and Sarking
We recommend a Colorbond roof instead of tiles, as it contains solar reflectance technology called Thermatech that reflects heat from your roof rather than absorbing it. Compared to traditional roof materials that don’t protect your home from the sun’s heat, Colorbond will help keep your home temperate, reducing your dependence on heating and cooling.
We also highly recommend including sarking every time we install a Colorbond roof. Sarking is a pliable membrane that’s installed under the Colorbond roof sheets. It helps manage condensation in your roof space but also helps to protect the home from bushfire embers.
uPVC Windows and Doors
uPVC is a type of door and window frame material that is more superior and energy efficient than aluminium and timber. uPVC drastically increases the thermal efficiency of your home (reducing heating and cooling bills), reduces noise pollution, and reduces draughts throughout the home. We can include uPVC doors and windows that are triple or double glazed in your build.
Insulation
The insulation you choose can make a big impact on the thermal performance and energy efficiency of your home. We recommend using the highest standard of insulation you can, as most homes can accommodate up to R2.7 batts in the external wall cavities and up to an R7 in the ceiling.
HVAC (Heat Recovery Ventilation)
An HVAC system is about more than just warming or cooling a space (although this is essential for a sustainable home). It’s also a solution for reducing mould causing condensation and keeping allergens such as pollen outside of your home – a great solution for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Hebel
Hebel panels optimise the thermal performance of a home, making your house more energy efficient. They also have a 30% lower environmental impact than bricks or timber and reduce external noise transmission. They also provide exceptional fire resistance.
